Mike Kelly  /   Partner

Mike Kelly

Mike has extensive experience in both business consulting and in advertising, with a keen intuition and understanding of consumer behavior. This rare combination of business savvy and consumer insight has made Mike a highly-valued and sought after partner to both financial sponsors and their portfolio companies.

Mike has served as the Interim Chief Marketing Officer for a broad range of corporations, including Cannondale Bicycles, Carey International, First On Site, Schwinn Bicycles, Sbarro Pizza and Sugoi Clothing.

Previously, he was a Senior Partner and Operating Board Member at Oglivy & Mather, New York. Prior to Ogilvy, Mike was a member of Arthur Andersen's Middle Market Enterprise Group in San Francisco.

Over the course of his career he has lent expertise to a wide array of top international brands, including: American Express; AT&T Wireless; Ben & Jerry's; Coca-Cola; Delta Air- Lines; Goldman Sachs; IBM; Kumon; Microsoft; Motorola, and the NFL.

Mike holds a BA in English and American Literature from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Matt Bijarchi  /   Senior Advisor, Digital Marketing

Matt Bijarchi

Matt has worked at some of the world's top entertainment marketing and advertising agencies including: Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Young & Rubicam, Chiat/Day and the Creative Artists Agency.

His experience producing branded content and technology products spans 15 years and includes work for iconic brands including: McDonald's, Absolut, MARS, Anheuser Busch, California Milk Board, Nissan, Jameson, GAP, Sears, Quiznos, Staples, FOX Sports, MillerCoors, Orbitz, Barilla, Nivea, Polaroid, eBay, Nascar, Craftsman, Michelin, Hilton, GSK, FLOR, CareerBuilder and Royal Bank of Scotland.

His accomplishments include: 2004, 2010 & 2011 Emmy Nominations for Best Commercial; Jay-Z's first-ever documentary, "NY-Z", a 2009 Webby Award for Delta Airlines and the creation and development of CareerBuilder's enterprise social media application, WorkLife.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from San Francisco State University.

Jim Neuwirth  /   Senior Advisor, Consumer Research

Jim Neuwirth

Jim Neuwirth has served as President of Northstar Research Partners and President and CEO of Neuwirth Research Inc. prior to its merger with Northstar.

Prior to founding Neuwirth Research, Mr. Neuwirth was Director of Research at Fidelity Investments and headed the consumer research departments at Scudder, Stevens & Clark and the Private Bank at Bankers Trust Company.

Over the past 16 years, Jim has led major research efforts (brand, loyalty, segmentation, new product development) for a long list of brands including: Citibank, Cycling Sports Group, eBay, Fidelity Investments, LPL Financial, HP, Sanofi Pasteur, InterContinental Hotel Group, JP Morgan, Standard & Poors, and Tumi Mr. Neuwirth's work with EURO RSCG won the prestigious 2007 ARF David Ogilvy Award for the best use of marketing research to build marketing campaigns that achieved superior business results (Schwab "Talk to Chuck").

Jim earned a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University.

Meir Calderon  /   Senior Advisor, Brand Strategy

Meir Calderon

Meir Calderon brings to BVA a unique combination of business leadership experience. His specialty is in organizational management, brand strategy, integrated communications planning, and market research.

Previously, Meir held senior management positions with several global agency networks including WPP, EURO RCSG, TBWA Worldwide, and Cossette Communications. During this time, he worked across multiple marketing and communications disciplines for some of the world's most recognizable brands – Cannondale, GSK, Hilton/Embassy Suites, Intel, International Paper, Jaguar, JD Power & Associates, Kaplan PMBR, Mars, McGraw- Hill, Moët-Hennessy, New Balance, Pfizer, Schwinn, Siemens, Standard & Poor’s, Unilever, US Coast Guard and Volvo.

Meir earned his MBA in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School.
